The company has been quietly executing this plan for several months, offering Chinese suppliers financial incentives to relocate some of their manufacturing operations and ensure smooth transitions, such as a 15-30% price increase, larger orders, and extended production timelines.
AliExpress Gears Up for Growth in South Korea with Expanded Warehouse
AliExpress is expanding its Korean-bound warehouse in Weihai, Shandong, by 60,000 square meters to keep up with rising demand from South Korea. This will make it the largest AliExpress warehouse cluster in Northern China. The expansion will shorten delivery times to Korea to just 3-5 days, allowing Chinese sellers to provide a local e-commerce experience, boosting their competitiveness in the Korean market.
Zhengzhou Airport Sees Strong Growth in International Cargo and E-Commerce
Zhengzhou Airport has expanded its route network in 2025, adding six new international cargo routes. By mid-February, the airport processed 96,300 tons of cargo, including 58,600 tons from international regions, marking a 36.07% year-over-year increase. With 31 cargo airlines and 54 routes, Zhengzhou is emerging as a key logistics hub. Zhengzhou Customs also reported strong growth in cross-border e-commerce exports in January, with order numbers, weight, and value rising by 186.41%, 273.4%, and 175.34%, respectively.
SF Asia Teams Up with Gokoo to Strengthen Footprint in Southeast Asia
On February 18, SF Asia and Gokoo, Southeast Asia's largest Chinese food delivery platform, announced a strategic partnership in Bangkok. By sharing resources and building trust, the partnership aims to foster growth of both sides in Southeast Asia's Chinese community. SF Asia's Business Center General Manager, Qiao Si, highlighted Gokoo's traffic advantage in connecting with overseas Chinese communities, which will boost SF's visibility and adoption. Gokoo's platform and rider network will also serve as backup delivery support, while the partnership also explores cross-border shipping and customs solutions.
ONE to Launch Weekly Vietnam-China Express Service in Mid-April
Singapore-based Ocean Network Express (ONE) will launch its "Vietnam-China Express (VCX)" service in mid-April. The service will operate on a 14-day round-trip schedule, connecting Ho Chi Minh and Hai Phong in Vietnam with Nansha and Hong Kong in China. It will run weekly, offering streamlined shipping between these key ports.
HKC Debuts Direct Cargo Service Between Hong Kong and Scotland
Hong Kong Cargo Airlines (HKC) has launched its first direct cargo route to Scotland, linking Hong Kong to Glasgow Prestwick Airport. The inaugural flight, operated by an Airbus A330-200F, was followed by additional flights on February 18 and 25. The first flights carried goods from China's top three e-commerce platforms, with a one-way capacity of 60 tons. Return flights will primarily transport premium Scottish exports like salmon and whisky, offering direct access to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and mainland China markets.
S.F. Holding Sees 13.55% Growth in International Business for January
On February 19, SF Holding reported its financial data for January 2025. The company's total revenue in January reached 26.277 billion RMB (3.61 billion USD), a 7.88% year-over-year increase. Express logistics revenue rose by 6.47%, generating 20.763 billion RMB (2.85 billion USD), with business volume growing 15.95% to 1.33 billion parcels. Despite typical Chinese New Year disruptions, SF's international logistics saw a 13.55% revenue boost, reaching 5.514 billion RMB (757.03 million USD).
NEOLIX Raises 1 Billion RMB for Global Autonomous Logistics Dominance
On February 20, NEOLIX, a pioneer in Level 4 autonomous commercial vehicles, announced it has raised 1 billion RMB (137.29 million USD) in Series C+ funding. The investment will accelerate the company's development of autonomous driving and enhance its delivery capabilities across logistics sectors.
By early 2025, NEOLIX has already received over 20,000 orders and aims to manage a fleet of 10,000 L4 vehicles, positioning itself as a leader in urban delivery solutions. Founder Yu Enyuan highlighted the cost-saving potential of combining autonomous vehicles with automated loading, expecting a significant rise in demand across sectors like fresh food, cold chain, and express freight. NEOLIX is also expanding globally, with over 2,000 vehicles deployed across 13 countries, including Japan, Germany and Switzerland.
