TEMU Opens First-Ever Logistics Center in South Korea
TEMU has signed a long-term lease for a 165,000 square meter logistics center in Gurae-dong, Gimpo, South Korea, marking the first time a Chinese e-commerce platform has set up such a facility in the country. The 11-floor center, equipped with standard and cold-chain facilities, is operated by Rakuten Global Logistics, a subsidiary of Rakuten Group. Once operational, the center is expected to shorten delivery times for direct-from-China purchases, improving the shopping experience for Korean consumers.
AliExpress Introduces Local+ for 3-5 Day Deliveries in Spain
AliExpress has launched the Local+ channel in Spain for its 15th anniversary, offering 3-5 day deliveries and localized products. Sellers with over 1,000 orders per month can receive a $3 subsidy per order. Local+ focuses on local brands, cultural adaptation, and data-driven strategies, with plans to increase local products to 30% by 2025, targeting football gear, swimwear, and Mediterranean-style home decor. In 2024, AliExpress operates three warehouses in the country, partnering with DHL and Correos for next-day delivery to seven cities.
Cainiao Sets New Benchmark for China to Mexico Delivery
Cainiao marks its first year in Mexico with an enhanced delivery network, offering three-day delivery in major cities and two-day delivery in Mexico City and key areas of the State of Mexico. The company has also set a new industry standard with a five-day cross-border shipping service from China to Mexico, the fastest in the market and the only provider covering the entire State of Mexico.

TEMU to Remove Products Using USPS Without Designated Labels
TEMU U.S. recruitment managers recently posted a notice on WeChat, stating that products from semi-managed and local stores shipping via USPS without using the platform's designated labels will be removed. Sellers using FedEx, UPS, or other carriers will not be affected. Merchants are urged to switch to TEMU's USPS labels to avoid product removal. Some sellers believe this is a response to the upcoming USPS strike.
Zongteng Group Takes Key Stake in YOUKESHU's Reorganization
YOUKESHU's recent "Reorganization Plan" announcement reveals significant progress, with 186 million shares transferred to investors, including Xingyun Group and Zongteng Group, under specific conditions. Zongteng Group holds 2% of the company's shares, while Xingyun Group controls 18%. As a result, former major shareholder Xiao Siqing's stake is diluted from 7.22% to 3.28%. Financially, YOUKESHU expects 2024 revenue between 346 million and 404 million RMB ($47.65~$55.64 million), with a net profit of 15.07 million to 20.82 million RMB ($2.08~$2.87 million), and a positive net asset value of 717 million to 937 million RMB ($98.74~$129.04 million).
SF and King Power Partner to Enhance Southeast Asia Logistics
On March 25, SF Asia and King Power Corporation signed a strategic partnership in Bangkok to optimize logistics and cross-border distribution across Thailand and Asia. As King Power's exclusive cross-border logistics provider, SF will streamline customs and delivery for taxed goods, cutting delivery times from China to Thailand. The collaboration will also launch a supply chain platform for local businesses and expand their retail market across Southeast Asia, with a focus on high-demand categories like food and electronics. And a "cross-border e-commerce + local delivery" model will be piloted in Thailand.
COSCO SHIPPING's Profit Soars 95% in 2024
COSCO SHIPPING reported strong growth in its 2024 annual report, with revenue reaching 233.86 billion RMB ($32.22 billion), up 33.29% YoY, and net profit soaring 95.08% to 55.40 billion RMB ($7.63 billion). The container shipping segment handled 25.94 million TEUs, a 10.12% increase, generating 225.97 billion RMB ($31.14 billion). Its terminal operations processed 144.03 million TEUs, with revenue rising 3.98% to 10.81 billion RMB ($1.49 billion). The company added 12 new vessels with a combined capacity of 230,000 TEUs, expanding its global network to 629 ports in 145 countries. Significant growth was seen in South America, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
Xi'an-Budapest Cargo Route Doubles Flights to Strengthen China-Europe Trade
Starting in March, the Xi'an–Budapest all-cargo air route will increase from two to four weekly flights, boosting air freight efficiency and reinforcing Xi'an Airport as a strategic logistics hub. Since its launch in September 2024, the route has operated over 100 flights, transporting nearly 4,000 tons of goods. With the added flights, Xi'an is set to handle over 12,000 tons of international cargo annually, enhancing trade between China and Europe.
FedEx Boosts Fujian-South Korea Shipping with Same-Day Flights
FedEx has upgraded its Fujian to South Korea export service, offering greater flexibility with an extended six-hour order cut-off time in Xiamen. Additionally, Quanzhou and Fuzhou now feature same-day export flights, expanding direct connections to more second- and third-tier cities. These improvements enhance the international shipping experience, making it smoother and more efficient for customers.
DHL Launches Mianyang Center for Next-Day Asia-Pacific Delivery
DHL Express has opened its Mianyang Service Center, enabling next-day delivery for exports to the Asia-Pacific region. Located in Mianyang's High-Tech Zone, shipments are processed locally before being sent to Chengdu for same-night departure via a dedicated DHL aircraft. Parcels are then sorted at the Hong Kong Central Asia Hub and dispatched globally the next day. This makes DHL the first international express service to offer a "ship today, arrive tomorrow" solution for Mianyang exports.
RCL Expands Reach with Direct Service from China and Korea to Mexico
RCL, an Asia-based regional shipping company, is launching its first-ever service connecting Mexican ports with its Far East-Latin America Service. The service will use 2,800 TEU vessels and provide transit times of 23-25 days from China and 21 days from Korea to Mexico. The inaugural voyage will depart Shanghai on April 30.
ESL, KMTC, and Others Launch First Shipping Route from China and Korea to Mexico
Analysts from Alphaliner report that UAE shipping company ESL, KMTC, regional container shipping company RCL, SeaLead, Sinokor, Sinotrans, and TS Lines will launch a weekly service at the end of next month connecting China and South Korea to the west coast of Mexico, with Manzanillo as the destination. This marks the first time these companies will serve Latin America's West Coast, with each providing one vessel. The first ship is set to depart from Shanghai on April 30.
