Health Category clinched the third spot with greatest growth of over 65% in sales
OVERVIEW
TikTok Shop's TOP 10 categories in the U.S. generated an impressive $342.1 million USD in GMV for April 2024, up 17.7% from the previous month, a strong growth despite the possible ban. Still, Beauty & Personal Care and Womenswear & Underwear dominated the market, with a slight increase of 7.8% and 11.2% compared to the previous month, respectively.
Category Analysis
Healthcare category is clearly the market's frontrunner in April, with sales soaring to $40.7 million, up by over 65% from last month. Up from fifth to third place among the top categories, it easily outstripped the next in line, with healthcare products occupying the top three bestsellers.
The Collectibles experienced significant growth as well, with sales reaching $30.5 million, a 63.45% increase from March, marking its spot among the top five categories in terms of sales performance.
The Panini 2001-2017 Football Trading Cards, a new offering from HuntBreaks priced from $12.99 to $39.99, topped the sales chart in its category. Released in late March, this item generated $1.08 million in revenue from 2,660 units sold in April, boosted by live streaming events.
On the other hand, Phones & Electronics witnessed a sharp decline in ranking from 3rd to 6th, with only a slight 2% increase in sales compared to last month. One of its best-selling items Lenovo Thinkplus X15 Pro Earphone was off the shelves due to patent issues.
Vendors Spotlight
The month's TOP shop list features two notable newcomers.
O Positiv, a new entrant under the Health category, secured the fifth position with impressive monthly sales of $2.49 million. The brand's leading product, URO Women's Probiotics, contributed significantly to this success, with 127,700 units sold over the past 30 days and $2.77 million generated in sales.
Gopure, specializing in Beauty & Personal Care, also made a notable debut on this month's TOP shop list, claiming the tenth position with monthly sales of $3.8 million. The store's top-selling GOPURE Neck Cream was a key driver of this performance, with 48,900 units sold in the past 30 days, bringing in $1.77 million.
Additionally, Sweet Furniture experienced a robust 35.52% increase in sales, reaching $2.48 million. Their leading product, the SweetFurniture Coffee Table, was sold 12,200 units in the past 30 days, propelling the store from 14th to 6th place in the rankings.
Meanwhile, FeelinGirl LLC climbed significantly in the rankings, rising from 19th to 9th place. The store saw a sales increase of 36.31% over the previous month, largely fueled by its Shapewear for Women Butt Lifter. This product alone generated $863,740 in sales with 34,200 units sold over the past 30 days.
