TikTok scales back self-operated logistics in Indonesia
TikTok has made a major strategic adjustment to its self-operated logistics operations in Indonesia. After acquiring GoTo Logistics (GTL) in 2024, TikTok had hoped to challenge the local logistics landscape. However, in August 2025, it shut down GTL’s warehousing and fulfillment operations, outsourcing warehouse management entirely to third-party service providers.
At present, GTL has retained only a small last-mile team, handling around 5% of platform orders, while J&T Express handles approximately 80% of delivery volume. Despite reducing its self-operated fulfillment capabilities, TikTok plans to add 30 new delivery stations in 2026 and continue supporting the expansion of its Indonesian e-commerce business through external logistics partnerships. Temu scales back China domestic fulfillment warehouses
Temu has recently accelerated its “localized fulfillment” strategy by gradually closing domestic warehouses in multiple areas of Guangdong and reducing its reliance on fully managed fulfillment and cross-border direct shipping models. At the same time, the platform is accelerating the deployment of more than a dozen self-operated warehouses in Germany, Poland and other European markets, while advancing its US warehouse construction plans.
The immediate driver behind this adjustment is the EU’s cancellation of the duty-free exemption for low-value parcels starting July 1, 2026. Under the new rules, previously exempt packages will be subject to customs clearance fees plus VAT, causing end-consumer prices of products on European sites to rise broadly. Meanwhile, sellers using the previous direct-shipping model are facing stricter compliance requirements. (Cross-border E-commerce Logistics Baixiaosheng)
Mercado Libre launches J&T Express pickup service
Mercado Libre’s China cross-border business has launched a door-to-door pickup service provided by J&T Express, allowing fully managed and semi-managed sellers to send goods to warehouses with one-click fulfillment.
Sellers can generate shipping orders in the backend, select J&T Express, and schedule pickup times. After collection, shipments are confirmed before 4 p.m. Beijing time on the same day and transported directly to Mercado Libre distribution centers. Shipping fees are calculated based on the higher value between actual weight and volumetric weight, then deducted directly from sales proceeds.
The service is optional and does not replace sellers’ existing warehouse delivery methods. Mercado Libre has also introduced clear rules covering compensation claims, shipping label printing and a 72-hour dispute window for weight discrepancies, simplifying first-mile fulfillment for factories and trading companies shipping to six Latin American countries. POIZON launches overseas direct shipping service, initially covering nine countries and regions
POIZON App has officially launched an overseas direct shipping service, extending its “authenticate first, ship later” model into cross-border commerce. The service initially covers nine countries and regions, including Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and Australia.
After overseas users place orders, products are shipped abroad only after being authenticated by the platform and confirmed as genuine. As of the end of July, overseas direct shipping orders have increased more than fourfold compared with the initial launch period. POIZON now has more than 600 million cumulative users, with penetration exceeding 50% among Chinese consumers under 30. Over the past year, the number of merchants joining the platform has grown by 60%. (Logistics Times Weekly)
SF International launches TikTok Shop Europe 3PL fulfillment service
SF International has officially launched its TikTok Shop Europe 12-country 3PL fulfillment service. Leveraging its self-operated air freight network and European customs clearance and delivery capabilities, the service provides a direct-shipping model from China to Europe.
It covers 12 European markets including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Portugal and Greece. Supported by SF’s own cargo aircraft network, including routes such as Ezhou–Liège, Ezhou–Frankfurt, Ezhou–Budapest and Ezhou–Milan, the end-to-end delivery time across these countries ranges from 4 to 15 calendar days, with core markets achieving delivery in as fast as four days. Cainiao officially launches “Global 3-Day Delivery” cross-border logistics service
Cainiao has officially launched its “Global 3-Day Delivery” cross-border logistics service, marking another major speed upgrade following its “Global 10-Day Delivery” and “Global 5-Day Delivery” services.
Cainiao has achieved three-calendar-day door-to-door delivery after consumer orders are placed on 15 major cross-border routes, including China-Europe routes, intra-European routes and Middle East regional routes. Based on the same pricing standard for 0.5kg European parcels, the logistics cost of the three-day express service is approximately half that of traditional international express services. (Cainiao)
30-minute customs clearance, one-hour postal handoff: Cainiao’s UK integrated customs-and-warehouse facility officially begins operations
Cainiao’s London gateway warehouse in the UK has officially started operations. The facility is independently operated by Cainiao, with customs clearance completed jointly with partners.
Once China-UK flights arrive, parcels can be transferred through a “green channel” to Cainiao’s warehouse and complete customs clearance within 30 minutes. High-priority parcels under services such as “Late Delivery Compensation” can be handed over to postal carriers within one hour after arriving at the warehouse, enabling the entire process from arrival to last-mile delivery to be completed within 24 hours. China adds more than 100 international cargo routes this year
According to statistics from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, as of July 31, China had launched 103 new international air cargo routes in 2026, including 11 new routes in July alone and 229 additional weekly round-trip flights.
The international cargo network is becoming more diversified, reducing reliance on European markets. Among the newly added routes, 51 are in Asia, 38 in Europe, 12 in North America, two in Africa and one in South America. Market expansion is increasingly shifting toward Asia while also strengthening links with Africa and North America, providing greater capacity support for high-value, time-sensitive cargo such as cross-border e-commerce goods and advanced manufacturing products. YunExpress launches FBM SHIP+ dedicated service
In response to Amazon’s new policy reducing FBM preparation time from two days to one day, YunExpress has launched the FBM SHIP+ express dedicated line, providing sellers with up to a two-day preparation buffer.
The extended preparation window helps reduce warehouse pressure and lower the risk of delayed shipments. The service offers four major benefits: optimized estimated delivery times to improve sales conversion; cash rebates on orders; faster carrier performance; and account performance protection, with delayed orders excluded from OTDR calculations.
Leveraging its delivery speed advantages, the service helps self-fulfilled sellers mitigate platform performance risks and improve operational resilience. (YunExpress)
